Artwork description
This is a solar etching of a landscape taken from one of my photographs. A transparency is made of the photo and this is put onto a light sensitive plate which is exposed to UV light. The plate is then washed in water and the image is left on the plate, to be printed in the same way as a line etching. Each print is inked up and printed with an etching press, so each print will be unique. This is from an edition of 50 prints and is signed and numbered.
