A neutral tone muted artwork in soft teal and turquoise.

If you travel to the wild north of Scotland on the west coast, then take the ferry to the Isle of Harris and Lewis, then continue north, you gradually lose all sense of the modern world. Your view of the world changes to peaceful scenes of a rough, untouched landscape surrounded by water. Your heart lifts the farther you go until you each the far side of the Isle of Lewis. Here, the small beaches are surrounded by ragged cliffs that look out at the Atlantic Ocean with nothing to see for thousands of miles. Only a very few people live in small cottages dotting the hills in this lost paradise. When the mist rolls in, even the waves soften and are quiet. The colours of landscape and sea dissolve into one another like frosted glass and soft silver sand is caressed by teal water as clear as glass as daw drifts down in muted tones only hinting at pink.

Printed here in my studio on Skye on a beautiful fine art paper that is museum quality and will not fade. An exceptional print that will become a family heirloom.

The image is printed with a 2 inch white border in white for a total size of 56 x 36 inches. The signature, title and edition number is under the image in the white border unless otherwise requested.

About My Materials

Having spent over 12 years printing and learning from master printers at Epson I invested in large printers for my oversized prints. I now work on an Epson Surecolor 20000 which creates exquisite prints in very large size. I only use the best materials for my prints as this is a labour of love.
