The painting depicts winter in Ukraine. This is part of the old town, where there are architectural monuments, including Lubart's Castle and the Cathedral of Peter and Paul. The full title of the painting is “Road to the Church of St. Peter and Paul” (Lutsk). By the way, in 2029, Lutsk will celebrate the 600th anniversary of the Congress of European Monarchs in Lutsk, which was first held in 1429.
Brief history.
The Congress of European Monarchs in Lutsk was a diplomatic meeting that took place in January 1429 in the city of Lutsk on the initiative of Grand Duke Vytautas of Lithuania. It was convened with the knowledge and consent of the kings of Hungary, Germany, and the Czech Republic, the Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund, to resolve a number of political and economic issues in Central and Eastern Europe. Vytautas planned to resolve the Ottoman threat to Europe, the Hussite problem, and, at the same time, the issue of his own coronation as king of Lithuania, about which he had been in diplomatic correspondence with Sigismund of Luxembourg since 1428.

I would also like to add that this painting was at the All-Ukrainian Winter Exhibition held in 2021, which was a Christmas exhibition held in the exhibition halls of the Central House of Artists of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine from December 24, 2021 to January 16, 2022. The exhibition included more than 300 works, the vast majority of which were thematically related to Christmas.
