Title: The Promise
Every day is washed in silver, sometimes dark as pewter and sometimes light and full of promise.
Made on the clifftops of the Isle of Skye, a view to the tiny island of Rona and north to the Atlantic Ocean. Here, the wind on a soft Summer's morning blows so softly over the waves that they ripple like iridescent scales on a silver fish. The teal colours in the sky are reflected in the water and there is a sensation of light and air in the image.
Every so often Nature creates a thing of beauty that needs no enhancement. This image has had only minimal changes and is truly representative of the view from Skye.
About My Work
I am passionate about using luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use beautiful museum quality Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use.
Other Sizes

Framing Options
I work with professional framers in the UK and the US. If you would like advice on framing please let me know.

Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 1.5 inch (4cm) with white or dark coloured sides depending on the image. If you prefer gallery wrap please get in touch. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery. All taxes and duties to be paid by the receiver.
