On either side of the outer harbour wall at Porthleven are a pair of cannon which were recovered from the wreck of HMS Anson, lost in a storm off Loe Bar in 1807. This view across the harbour mouth shows one of the cannon on the harbour wall while the bright evening sun lights up the houses on the opposite site.
