In 2016 I was in a creative camp in Balchik, Bulgaria. On the way from Bucharest to Balchik I discovered many enchanting landscapes, but what impressed me the most were the sunflower fields, which were already dry, the yellow petals had already fallen, it was September, so I called the work THE ONE THAT WAS ONCE THE SUNFLOWER. The dark brown, the black-gray in some places contrasted with the blue sky. This was the impetus for the creation of this painting. I also really like the creation of Anselm Kiefer, which I think is deep and amazing. I also discovered this subject at him.
