Original artwork description
Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music by Chopin.
A humanoid from the future comes to prebiotic Earth, falls down a waterfall and his body disintegrates, dispersing his genetic material so that life and human beings are created on our planet.
This scene from the movie Prometheus and the paintings of the Chauvet Cave build this story of past and future. The contrasts between what makes us human and our animal essence.
We are only animals, but we speak with the Gods. We hunt and paint. We farm and pray. We are insignificant and giants at the same time. Simple and magical. We are nothing or perhaps the only thing.
We, who are Nature but who have become something else.
Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
