"The Night Ride" - mixed media on canvas, 30" x 15" x 1.75". Ready to hang.
This piece started with a question: how difficult is it to ride a horse at night? And so my musings took me hither and yon, until they landed on the back of a sure-footed (and LARGE-footed) bird. And it got me to thinking a little more...how often do we avoid a new direction because we can't be sure what the path is? Or because we can't be sure IF there is even a path? Much of the time, I reckon.
This trusting girl on the back of her interesting steed shed a whole new light on choosing a path unknown and unseen. Perhaps all we need is a little imagination and what we need to carry us safely along will appear.
