Inspired by the ''Miner'' sculpture - a tribute sculpture to the Coal and Iron miners of the area of the Forest of Dean. The sculpture depicts a kneeling miner stripped to the waist with a ''mattock'' and carbine lamp with a naked flame.

Commissioned by the Forest of Dean District Council and the Cinderford Labour Party to celebrate the Millennium, the sculpture is located in ''The Triangle'' at Cinderford, Gloucester.

A Forest of Dean Free Miner Dave Harvey modelled for the sculpture over a period of several weeks.

Oil on 290gsm acid-free fine linen textured oil painting paper.

Unframed dimensions are 12 x 16 inches.

Framed dimensions are 16.5 x 20.5 x 1.75 inches.
