Original artwork description
Drawing inspired by Siegfried, the third musical drama in the tetralogy “The Ring of the Nibelung” by German composer Richard Wagner (Leipzig 1813 – Venice 1883), a theatrical work first performed on August 16, 1876, at the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth. Siegfried, the hero par excellence of Germanic mythology, was strong, courageous, handsome, and armed with a magic sword with which he confronted and killed the dragon, then bathed in its blood to become invulnerable. I created this work with passion, combining pencils, ink, and pastels to evoke strong emotions. Expressionist art blends with realism, capturing human struggle, courage, and nobility. Each stroke reflects the intensity of the subjects' feelings and determination, bringing energy and inspiration to any space that will host this artwork.
