Original artwork description
Created in reflection on the hope and light of Easter.
I have never seen Christ, but I know for certain that His eyes are filled with boundless love for me and for you. I painted this series with Jesus in mind. This work was created entirely intuitively, without a preliminary pencil sketch. I painted with blotches of color, not knowing what the final result would be.
Perhaps it was God Himself who guided my hand as I painted?
I have no definite answer to this question.
To be continued…
This series was painted using burnt sienna and ultramarine. I worked with a large brush relative to the size of the sheet, which made the brushstrokes come out “alive.”
My work here is a single copy of my unique and original handiwork. It is made on special, high-quality 100% cotton paper designed for watercolor from the world’s best manufacturers and has a density of 300 grams/meter.
