A portrait inspired by the work of Artemisia Gentileschi, exploring how women throughout history have expressed themselves when their voices were silenced.

This photograph is part of my Women in Quiet Rebellion series - a body of work examining the subtle, powerful ways women have asserted agency and strength despite societal constraints. When verbal expression was constrained by convention, they found other ways to express themselves through quiet rebellion, movement, and facial expression.
