’The knots and creepers of Easy’ is a piece of an intricate simplicity. It intertwines the adventures of life with the search of peace of mind.
The chimpanzee and human are of contrasting moods. Whilst the monkey revels in excitement, the human appears conflicted: weighted down perhaps by thick undergrowth and a heavy sunset. Despite this, there is air of companionship between the two and some comfort can be taken from this. The painting celebrates this bond we share; we are all rooted to the same big rock after all.
