Unframed painting on paper in acrylic gouache. The painting is full of gestural brushmarks to describe the grasses and heathers growing on the hillside.

Including the mount the size is 15x15.5 inches

The painting is sold with a cream mount ready for framing.

Inspired by the Scottish hills - this tree was growing completely by itself in what seemed to me to be a very crucial spot on the hill. A place for a walker to sit and survey the views, a place for a bird to have a rest from long flying, a provider of shade from sun and shelter from rain for small creatures. All in all it did seem to be a very important tree!

The painting is shipped wrapped in several protective layers before being placed in a sturdy cardboard box.
I always send my paintings by tracked courier for extra security.
