The House by the Loch is a warm, autumn-toned abstract landscape inspired by Loch Fada at the foot of the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye. In shades of ochre, moss green, and dusty blue, the image evokes the timeless beauty of this ancient Highland landscape. In autumn, the hills glow with muted yellows and greens, their colours mirrored by the silvery blue of the loch. A small cottage rests quietly beneath the Old Man of Storr, a dramatic rock formation steeped in myth and legend.

Created using advanced photographic techniques, this work transforms the natural scene into an atmospheric abstraction, balancing rich colour with a sense of stillness. For these special small editions of my work I use beautiful fine art canvas which is 100% cotton designed for professionals. The canvas is printed and quality checked then carefully covered in glassine paper before being rolled and put in a strong tube.

By using beautiful canvas combining it with the fabulous non-fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta inkset of 9 colours, I can produce a print of exceptional quality which will last a lifetime without fading.
