Artwork description:

The Red Cuillins on the Isle of Skye are incredibly romantic. The colours in this image remind me of Vermeers' paintings of cloth and rich velvets. I used a special set of techniques to capture this image and then worked to bring out the best of the fabulous colours of the Scottish landscape. The image is also inspired by Seurat and has a very fine stippling which adds to the effect of texture in the landscape.

I am passionate about beautiful prints and I spent years selecting the papers and canvas for my work. For this image I’ve chosen Canson® Infinity Rag Photographique for its exquisite, timeless qualities. This 100% cotton paper has a soft, satin-smooth surface that brings a quiet elegance to my prints. Its natural bright white tone and ability to hold rich colours and deep blacks with remarkable depth make it the perfect match for the subtle moods and fine details in my work. Crafted to museum standards, it ensures each piece endures—both in beauty and in meaning.

Printed at 60 inches with a small white border. Signed and numbered on the front and titled numbered and dated on the back.

If you love this image but need another size please get in touch for a chat. Many of my clients like to see a mock up of this on their wall to be sure the size or colour is right for their space. I have a large portfolio so if you need help to choose a piece just drop me a line.
