ABOUT THE ART WORK
Some places leave a lasting impression long after the journey ends. Positano is one of those rare destinations where light, architecture and the Mediterranean Sea come together to create a feeling that stays with you forever.
Perched high above the coastline, the town unfolds in layers of colourful houses, historic domes and narrow streets that seem to flow naturally toward the sea. Rather than documenting the landscape, I wanted to capture the emotion of standing above Positano, watching the morning light slowly awaken one of Italy's most iconic coastal villages.
This painting is part of my Positano Collection, an ongoing series dedicated to exploring the timeless beauty of the Amalfi Coast through original oil paintings. Every work in this collection reflects a different season, atmosphere or moment of light, inviting the viewer to experience the same destination from a new perspective.
My work is inspired by the belief that great landscapes are more than places—they become personal memories, dreams and stories we carry with us throughout our lives. Through colour, texture and expressive brushwork, I hope to recreate that feeling and bring the spirit of remarkable destinations into the home.
