THE GULF IN SHADES (STUDIO 26)
I made this photograph at winter dawn on the Gulf of Follonica, when the world feels hushed and suspended between night and day.

Using a long exposure, I let the sea dissolve into gentle motion while the distant hills quietly held the horizon. Subtle shades of gold, grey, and blue drift through the frame, creating a sense of calm and spaciousness — a moment of stillness shaped by light.

I’m drawn to these quiet transitions in nature, where simplicity becomes emotional and atmosphere takes the lead. This piece is about softness, distance, and breath — an invitation to slow down and sit with the subtle beauty of early morning.

The Gulf in Shades (Studio 26) is part of my ongoing exploration of minimal seascapes, where movement, light, and silence come together in a contemporary, romantic visual language.
