Original artwork description:

"The Grand Safari Table", is an original, 24" x 17" watercolor and ink painting on Arches French-made 356gsm all cotton heavyweight paper. It has been painted with professional artist Rembrandt paints and De Atramentis permanent ink.
It was a lot of fun to paint this, I love these quirky table scenes!

This painting was inspired by my love of interesting table settings, birds and a fabulous interior designer, Mary F. Saunders. A pair of New Zealand Fantail birds called Piwakawaka have invited themselves into this elegant table scene!

When I saw the ceramic bird I thought it would be fun to add some live birds in the scene. The New Zealand Fantails, also called Piwakawaka, seemed like the perfect choice. We used to see these little fantail birds when we lived in New Zealand. When they fly, they are very graceful, almost like butterflies and also seemed friendly.
With so much to look at you will never be tired of this very unique artwork!

This painting comes with a certificate of authenticity. It arrives sealed in a clear acrylic sleeve.

Materials used:

watercolor paints, permanent ink, all cotton arches rag paper
