Original artwork description
Painted from life and photographs, this painting represents a transitional period in the model's life. A time when she was 'lost' and felt woven into life's tapestry, entangled there unable to find a way forward. Layers of oil paint create a moderately textured finish and echo the warp and weft of a piece of weaving, the 'slubs' of paint reminiscent of those found in yarn.
The edges of the painting are left white so it can be hung without a frame but it's suitable for framing if preferred. It's initialled on the front and signed and dated on the reverse. Please note that any interior setting photographs are NOT to scale.
