I have a love of gardening, favouring the informal, country cottage style. And beautiful, soft, tumbling roses which are a delight, not only to see and to inhale their fragrance, but to paint. This semi-abstract, mixed media piece has several acrylic under layers, over which sections of paper collage have been laid, after which layers of oil paint have been applied. Very little of the collage remains visible, but just enough to give great depth to the painting. The result is an evocative, yet contemporary piece. The use of a palette knife to introduce a small degree of texture adds further depth and interest.

This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.

The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front.

I ship internationally using an insured, tracked and signed for service. Please note that payment of import duty/tax/tariffs is the responsibility of the buyer.
