Artwork inspired by the figure of Savina Petrilli (1851 - 1923), Italian religious and foundress of the Sisters of the Poor of St. Catherine of Siena. She engaged in strenuous service on behalf of her neighbor by cooperating with Divine Mercy to restore dignity to the poor, marginalized and suffering through gestures of concrete Christian solidarity. Pope John Paul II proclaimed her blessed in 1988. I expressed the soul and dedication through my vibrant brushwork and warm colors, capturing the spirit of selflessness.
