The forces of purity (3) (2019) Original Acrylic Painting by Lab Studio

50 x 60 x 2cm

£941.05

Sometimes the softest things require the greatest strength.

The first time I put on ballet shoes, I was surprised.

From the outside they look delicate—almost fragile. But once you slip into them, they become part of your body. The ribbons wrap gently around your ankles, holding you without restricting you. Every movement feels lighter, more intentional.

Walking in them is different. Every step asks for awareness. You cannot rush. You have to be present.

That is what inspired The Forces of Purity.

The shoes are more than an object. They represent discipline, trust and the quiet strength that comes from repetition. They remind me that grace is never accidental—it grows through patience, balance and countless small movements.
