Artwork where the scene is illuminated by the glare of guanine (a silvery substance produced by fish between the scales or in other areas of the body). It is inspired by the fish market in Florence, where, by getting lost in the heart of it, I felt that I was also immersing myself and getting to know other customs, sayings, habits, scents, colors of the city and vocal inflections of the fishmongers. Above all, I wanted to capture the intensity and raw reality of sea life. Earthy tones mingle with touches of vivid color, reflecting the struggle of man against nature. The faces express strong emotions, fatigue, hope, and resilience. This painting will bring a wave of passion and a reminder of the deepest human roots into your home.
