Painting inspired by Saint Catherine of Siena, who was in the church of the Friars Preachers in Siena one day when a dazzling light from heaven suddenly enveloped her and she had a mystical vision. It was Jesus Christ who gave her His bright red and shining Heart, announcing that she would live forever from that moment on with that heart. After placing it in her chest, He closed the opening He had made in her side where, as a sign of the miracle, a scar remained, as numerous witnesses present there attested. From that moment on, the Saint could no longer say, “Lord, I commend my heart to you.” The artwork captures the intensity of spiritual exchange and absolute love through vibrant colors and enveloping figures, expressing the sacredness of the heart that gives itself. It is a symbol of a gesture of faith and devotion, communicated in an aura of energy in emotional depth and divine connection, capable of transforming and enriching those who observe it in their own space.
