ABOUT THE ART WORK
I painted this work thinking of how Amalfi’s hillside towns glow at dusk and mirror on the calm sea. Terraced houses step down to the water; streets and roofs weave into a living pattern—rendered with rich impasto and energetic palette-knife strokes. Warm evening light, the cool breath of the sea and the soft outline of the cliffs create both celebration and calm.

The texture is intentionally dimensional: light seems to sit on the surface and the water sparkles under any room lighting. This is modern impressionism with expressive texture—capturing the Mediterranean mood rather than literal detail: the scent of the sea, narrow lanes, the harbor’s hum, café music. A statement piece for living rooms, studios, or Mediterranean-style interiors.
