This painting is a raw testament to unleashed artistic impulse, executed during a pivotal painting session at the Academy. Experiencing a momentary block and searching for a fresh, powerful direction, I consciously decided to let the intensity of my built-up creative tension dictate the action on the canvas.

I possess an inherent attraction to expressive abstraction and bold mark-making, a mode of practice I strongly miss when I focus exclusively on highly detailed work for long periods. From time to time, a specific painting session occurs where this dynamic, abstract side takes over, and the creative flow results in pieces like this one.

It was painted alla prima (wet-on-wet), allowing the immediate flow of feeling and instinct to choose the colors and values. Sometimes everything just sits at the right place from the start. This was it, I felt it. The composition captures a dynamic arrangement of angular, geometric forms against a vast, ambiguous, foggy expanse. The focus is on the powerful, almost spiritual light source that dissolves into a swirling, textured haze, transforming the structure into a profound moment of quiet, tonal abstraction.

The painting will be delivered in secure, multi-layered packaging, insured and tracked to ensure its safety during transport. Each work comes with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its originality.
