Original artwork description
Faces and expressions have long held a profound fascination for me. In this work, the face is envisioned at the instant of impact—as though hurled against a wall like a ripe tomato—its features compressed, ruptured, and suspended between distortion and disintegration.
Yet within this gesture of apparent violence, the expression remains remarkably composed, almost indifferent. This tension between physical disruption and emotional detachment becomes the central focus of the work, exploring the fragile boundary between vulnerability, transformation, and the human capacity to remain still in the face of rupture.
