Story:
The painting carries a deep allegory about the end of a partnership, liberation from the past and a new beginning.
Love and partnership are the highest values in life for us. We often invest years or decades in building a relationship and, figuratively speaking, "we are able to tear our feet off", just to bear the blue of the sky for our partner and make him happy.
Sometimes, despite enormous efforts, a relationship begins to stagnate and wither instead of developing. The shoes on the woman's face depicted indicate the heaviness and pain that a dysfunctional relationship brought. Dirty and worn out, they symbolize this long, difficult and exhausting path that we have traveled in a relationship. They represent the past, hardships and emotional burden that the relationship carried with it.
A white paper bird represents the desire for freedom, innocence and fragility. It is a symbol of detachment from a difficult past.
When efforts fail, the moment comes when it is necessary to take off your old shoes, free yourself from the past, and embark on a new, albeit unknown, path towards the future.
