This painting reflects the contemplative threshold between movement and stillness, departure and homecoming. The sea becomes a metaphor for cycles we all recognise the pull outward toward the unknown and the inevitable return to what grounds us. Subtle tonal shifts and gentle brushwork invite the viewer into a meditative space, where sound seems hushed and time feels unhurried.
This seascape was inspired by walks along the ever-changing coastline of the Costa Blanca. With each season in Spain, its beaches transform, at times holding a light and atmosphere that could belong to almost any shoreline in the world.
