This is a design loosely based on "weeds" which are commonly found in cornfields - cornflower, knapweed and scabious.
It is a two block lino cut with a printed blue background and a decorative mauve border.
I love wild flowers and use them both decoratively (as here) and more figuratively in my work.
Materials used:
fabriano rosapina watercolour paper and relief printing ink
