SOLD 9/17/23 Heading to Collector in North Carolina
Sept. 2023 / Abstract Acrylic Painting / Textured / 16 x 20 x 1.5 on Gallery Wrapped
Canvas. Sides will be painted to match the painting. I like building my canvases with layers of paint. There is a richness by doing this for this painting and many of the paintings I paint.
The top 3 layers I have created have specific colors and patterns I put together with the Gold, Blue, White, and Bright Aqua Green. I have a layer of Skin Tone underneath the layers of Gold, Blue, White & Bright Aqua Green layering that I have left open in small areas to show through. As I was creating this painting I felt a spiritual feeling. I do not know why. I decided to focus on the middle area like I do so many times. I used Blue, White, and Gold to create the window. I felt after completing this window a strong sense to call the painting "The Blue Window to the Soul" I added a Gold Red Line to represent Compassion & Courage for the Blue Window. The final presentation of the painting has a beautiful feeling. I draw on an Asian & Middle Eastern influence as well as Prehistoric aspect with many of my paintings. I created the painting blending with my palette knives.
I have placed felt pads on the 4 corners of the backside to protect the wall. And, so you are able to place the painting in 4 different ways. Golden Professional Archival Gloss Varnish Spray has been applied to protect the painting. Certificate of Authenticity included 1/1.
Lighting will be important for this painting or any other painting to bring out the brilliance of the colors. Also, Wall colors will be important for this painting or any painting. Play around with lighting and wall colors if you are able to do this with this painting or any other painting you purchase.
Note: I base my pricing on amount of time working on the painting, the genre, art supplies used, and Artfinder's % which is reasonable and good since they are promoting my artwork Internationally.
