"The Blackberry" — from the Fruits series
A contemporary still-life bronze of two blackberries hanging from a leafy stem. The artist contrasts two finishes to bring the fruit to life: the densely beaded berries in a dark patina lifted with polished golden points — each drupelet catching the light — set beneath broad, veined leaves finished in bright, gleaming gold. A small, jewel-like object, precise in its detail and quietly luxurious in its play of dark and gold.
Cast in bronze using the lost-wax method and mounted on an integrated oval bronze base. Signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Made to order — a hand-cast, limited piece rather than a stock object.
