A portrait of a woman looking at the viewer. The imposed classical pose seems to take away the girl's place for individuality or otherness. Overlapping layers of paint or paper let her hide in her comfort zone. Gradually she starts to gain her self-confidence and drops the mask. As different parts of her body unhide she breaks free from aesthetic conventions and imposed cannons of beauty to create a new story and dare to bring out her true emotions and expression.
The collage is made by creating overlapping layers of various media such as spray paint, acrylic paint, pencil or scraps of paper. The surface has a mat layer finish.
