The Beatles backstage before their concert at the Apollo Theatre in Manchester 14 October 1964. This was the fifth time I had met them and wanted to photograph them in a different pose. John Lennon suggested playing at trains as long as he could be the engine driver and Paul the guard !
I used a Rolleiflex medium format camera with a bounced flash and Tri-x 400 asa film stock.
