This painting is part of my figurative series and belongs to the "abstract-figurative" art category. It features a recognisable figure, the female body, which is transformed through the use of abstract elements such as colours and gestures that convey emotion rather than objective observation.
The face appears to have been deliberately omitted, leaving the viewer to imagine what it might look like. This creates an effect of universality and mystery surrounding identity.
