The Ashdown Forest is a lovely tract of lowland heath and woodland in Sussex, UK. I am fortunate enough to live close by, and to visit the area frequently. This painting shows a row of silver birches - probably the defining tree of the area - catching the sunlight on a popular forest path. Its a small painting - exactly A4 size - so easy to frame.
