Original artwork description
The Artists roses
Remembering last Summer,
They appeared in the warm air in late May,
A show stopper in my garden,
Taken years of maturity,
Can’t wait this year to see them again.
Words and my inspiration
Original impressionist watercolour on cold pressed watercolour paper 300gsm 140lb Saunders Waterford.
Signed on the front and back of painting
Certificate of authenticity.
Handwritten personal poem.
I used the mark making and pressing of the watercolour paint to gradually create this bouquet of roses design. I used a Japanese mop squirrel hair brush and a filbert brush to express myself for the shapes, patterns of the leaves, flowers.
I etched out the stems with my nail.
Recently I had been to an arty workshop at my artists friends house and I had to use this method in acrylic so I then was so inspired to paint my flower work in watercolour to see the contrast.
Materials used:
Cold pressed watercolour paper Saunders Waterford 300gsm 140lb, filbert brush, Japanese mop squirrel hair brush, Windsor and Newton watercolours,

- Watercolour on Paper
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 28.9 x 30 x 1cm (unframed)
