"The Architecture of Light" is part of the "Mediterranean Light" series, a body of work exploring the relationship between coastal architecture, landscape and the transforming power of light.

The ascending city unfolds along the mountain slope as a sequence of luminous planes. Architecture becomes less an object and more a spatial rhythm — terraces, walls and passages dissolving into atmosphere as light spreads across the surface.

Rather than depicting a specific location, the painting explores how illumination reorganizes perception of space. The sea, the sky and the architecture form a continuous field where structure and air coexist.

Through expressive oil brushwork and layered color, the surface retains the physical trace of gesture. Light does not merely describe the scene — it constructs it, shaping depth, rhythm and spatial tension within the landscape.
