Concept

Webs of My Feelings is an intimate visual reflection on the inner emotional landscape. Each line appears as a delicate thread of feeling — subtle, fragile, almost intangible — yet together they form a structure that holds emotional integrity.

The work speaks about emotions not as something fixed or defined, but as layered, intersecting states: vulnerability, attachment, doubt, tenderness, acceptance. These emotional “webs” do not restrain — they connect, shape, and quietly support the inner self, revealing how sensitivity becomes part of personal strength.

Technique and Materials

The artwork is created using mixed media on canvas, combining acrylic paint and oil pastel. Layered acrylic washes build depth and transparency, creating an atmospheric sense of space. Oil pastel is used to articulate lines, fractures, and structural divisions, enhancing the tactile quality of the surface and emphasizing the physical presence of form.

The composition emerges through a dialogue between controlled gestures and intuitive mark-making, highlighting the balance between rational structure and emotional expression.

Color Palette

The palette is restrained, natural, and nuanced, with soft transitions and translucent layers. The painting features shades of:

milky white, ivory, cream

cool gray, smoky gray, graphite

warm beige, sand, nude tones

ash blue, misty blue, steel blue

light ochre, warm ochre, caramel, cinnamon brown

charcoal, anthracite, deep blue-black

The colors interact through transparent layering, creating a sense of air, depth, and inner luminosity.

Artistic Techniques

The work employs:

multilayered painting and transparent glazing

graphic lines and cracks as conceptual elements

soft contrast between light and dark forms

natural fracture and tectonic structure effects

a balance between minimalism and complex inner composition

Surface texture varies from nearly smooth to richly textured, reinforcing the feeling of a living, breathing pictorial space.
