The artwork captures the artist suspended in mid-air on a rustic scaffold, caught in a moment of pure inspiration as he brings his iconic Café Terrace at Night to life.
The figure and the tools with the suspended beam are sculpted by hand from paper giving the piece an intimate storybook depth.
Painted in professional acrylics and sealed with varnish.

As an artist, I have always been fascinated by the spaces where reality and imagination blur. By pulling Van Gogh out of the flat canvas and into a three-dimensional space, I wanted to capture the physical and emotional weight of creation—literally suspending the artist within his own world. Every detail from the folds of his hat to the miniature paint pots, was meticulously formed using paper to give the scene a whimsical and living texture.

Materials used:

paper, glue, tape, acrylics, varnish, thread, cardboard
