Rome is a place I have never been to so a last minute city break to the eternal city has boosted my inspirational needs, and this little scene came top of the list. A tiny park next to a junction and away from the main sights, everything about it was just perfect. The round structure, the water fountain, the framing of the trees, the sky; only the Vespa was added.
The structure is one of the many ancient temples scattered around the city called the Temple of Hercules Victor (sometimes Vesta) from around 2nd century BC. It sits in the Piazza Bocca della Verità between the Tiber and the Aventine Hill. In the foreground is the Fontana dei Tritoni, an 18th century fountain of early Rococo period.
