Original artwork description
(July 2019) 36 x 48 x 1.5 inches. Unframed painting-Ready to hang-sides will be painted to match painting. (12 layers) Gallery Wrapped Cotton Canvas. Textured/Layered Abstract Painting. Painted with palette knives. The painting's focus is on the center with the Gold and Red Line. I like adding a touch of Red as it is Good Luck in China and Japan. In China-Red is considered around happiness & prosperity. In Japan-Red denotes strength, passion, self sacrifice, and blood. I have only added small touches of both to denote the meaning of Red. The major color tones I have used in the painting surroundings are Aqua and Teal. In blending both colors Green shades are noted. I enjoyed creating patterns underneath the 2 main layers of paint. I added a variety of colors and I let those colors somewhat dry and then I started my top 2 layers with the Aqua and Teal. There are touches of Purple, Yellow, Brown, Peach, Blue, and White that show through in the final painting. I have added 9 layers of white/cream, gray primer and then after my primers where complete I then focused on my 3 top layers. I find strength in a thicker canvas. There are small details in the painting that are hard to pick up with my photographs. The painting can be hung 4 different directions - so there is 2 Vertical hangings and 2 Horizontal hangings. Felt pads included on backside corners. Signed on the backside and Certificate of Authenticity included with the painting 1/1.
*PLEASE note: Lighting will make a huge difference in the mood of this painting-as with any painting. Overhead/Canned/Spot Lighting is the best or indirect Lighting. Never direct Sunlight. Wall colors also will make a difference with a painting. I have taken my photos outdoors with morning Sun light. I have used 200 ISO with my camera to take these photos. * When posting my painting photos I always have the original painting next to me to assure the photos I add match the original painting. I do my best. I never try to enhance the look of my paintings with the photos I post.
