- Swaledale from the top footpath
Original artwork description
One of my favourite walks ... through Swaledale via Crackpot Hall. Looking back down the valley, the river Swale snakes its way through grazing pasture flanked by dry stone walls. The footpath hugs the valley side and a pile of stone flags makes a well marked route. All the shades of green are displayed here - from the pale hues on the horizon to the bright greens and yellow greens of the lush meadows and moorland.
The painting is on a canvas and is painted in an impressionistic style. It is ready to hang and sits in a white wooden float frame.
