Original artwork description
I am fascinated by what remains of a moment, when everything dissolves.
In this work, I followed the impulse of gesture, allowing form and color to emerge spontaneously, without control. Blue becomes a deep breath embracing fragments of white, black, and ochre yellow: floating presences, resurfacing memories, sensations that ask for no explanation.
I use mixed media on canvas because it allows me to layer time, to reveal living, cracked, textured surfaces. Each mark is a passage, each tear a question.
This abstract painting is part of my journey in contemporary art, as an Italian woman and artist. It is a way to give voice to emotions that do not want to be defined, but rather felt.
It is an invitation to listen even in silence.
