This gelli monoprint is inspired by a Lucian Freud painting of a Benefits Supervisor Sleeping. The print is composed of a drawing made in oil pastels, which has been transferred to a gel plate, and then subsequent acrylic paints added on top to transfer the oil pastel drawing to paper.

The drawing is a study of Lucian's markmaking and his line work employed in his painting.
