Glimps Holm is a tiny uninhabited island with a long lazy beach of golden sand. It lies at the entrance to Scapa Flow, an area of deep water that forms a natural cove among the Orkney islands. Th clouds flit over sunny blue water, little islands rise out of the ocean like seals and the air is pure. The image was made using techniques involving camera movement, this creates an impressionist style image that captures the evocative mood of the location. I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be. About My Work I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Baroque Canvas and the highest quality inks. I print the canvases here in my studio to control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image. I work with the finest paper and canvas materials and combine them with non fade inks to create a work that will last for more than a lifetime.
