The sunrise and eruption of the Stromboli volcano.
Aeolian islands, Sicily Italy
The picture was painted in Sicily during my plan air in the island Stromboli was in October 2024.
After the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, I had to leave my country. I was reached by a kind Sicilian family, I was safe and even had the opportunity to see an incredible miracle: the eruption of a volcano. This picture shows the eruption of the Stromboli volcano, which has become more active in spewing lava from its vent this year.
I used a professional oil paints, inspiration from a magical trip on Stromboli and MDF board.

I am very concerned about the environment, so I try to use plastic and new cardboards as little as possible.
