Every Sunday afternoon, the entire neighborhood gathered in front of the spa pavilion. They came to show off, have fun, and make arrangements. Women in dresses with a tourniquet, men in top hats, children in white collars — and above all, the slightly cloudy sky of early summer. None of those present had any idea that the world they knew would fall apart in a few decades. The painting captured a Sunday afternoon when everything was still in its place — where time flowed in the rhythm of walks and social gatherings.

The painting was created based on an authentic period photograph. The architecture of the pavilion, the costumes of the characters, and the arrangement of the groups correspond to the historical model.
