Original artwork description
Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music by Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker...
Sunday morning, calm, a coffee...some ideas in my head...the garden, some seeds are beginning to sprout...the studio...painting...jazz classics are playing today. Everything is perfect.
Very human or very animal feelings depending on how you look at it. The colors I'm looking for appear and then some shapes that I'm not looking for but they are there.
Nature, city, antiquity, modernity...beings lost in worlds that are not their own.
Everything passed through the filter of a dream and built on a wall marked by graffiti and the passage of time, in a big city.
We, who are Nature but who have become something else.
Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
